In March I volunteered to paint a skateboard with kids from the Sarasota School of Art and Science. It was a lot of fun, and the fish was the kid's idea. If it were up to me I'm sure this board would be sporting a tree or something, but trees are my weakness, so no big surprise there! I painted with just acrylic.

Such a sweet board! If I ever had a little boy, I'm gonna commission you to paint his sweet skateboard... even if he doesn't skateboard.
i'm a resident artist at a YMCA in NC and i've been wanting to do this same thing. did you have to prep the skateboard (cause they usually come with a glossy finish) or can you just paint directly on them as they are?
thanks.
