Stronghold

This was the last piece I did for my senior show. I started it by doing ink washes to block in the value structure, then finished up completely in photoshop.

Is Rex a good name?

I was thinking about a name for him, and I kind of liked Rex. If anyone has something better, please oh please let me know!

Painting Skateboards with Kiddies!

In March I volunteered to paint a skateboard with kids from the Sarasota School of Art and Science. It was a lot of fun, and the fish was the kid's idea. If it were up to me I'm sure this board would be sporting a tree or something, but trees are my weakness, so no big surprise there! I painted with just acrylic.

More Sketchbook

A couple of sketches form my sketchbook. That's all : D

Visual Development Work

Sketches of props and elements from various stories I've worked on this year.

Character, prop, and environment designs for a story about the unfortunate side effects of drinking too much before getting stuck in a crowded pool. This was a really fun story to play with to say the least : D
Storyboards for an animatic showing action and reaction.

Storyboards for an animatic of a character witnessing something.

Environment sketches in graphite and photoshop.

A character design for a raccoon character.

Furry Friends

Animal sketches from my sketchbook. The beaver and finch are ideas for animals in my thesis, while the cat looking thing was something I drew for the sake of wanting an animal wearing a scarf. I honestly have no idea ^__^

Forest Monster!

Value study for another thesis piece. In my thesis story, the main character (raccoon) meets a group of animals who have formed a resistance against the "Mechanical Demons" that destroy the forest and their homes. I'll be posting the color version of this soon, just a few more touches!

Snow

SNOW was a book I made for a friend for Christmas. The cover is a cut paper illustration, and the contents included photos I took of snow from the mitten. (That's Michigan ^__^ ) I had a lot of fun doing this project, and will hopefully find time to do something similar again!

A House for Two

This is the first finished piece for my senior thesis. Inside this tree is where two raccoons live peacefully, that is until one day... More details on this and other things soon to come!

Values

A couple of value drawings done in ink wash for my senior thesis. I will post the color finals when they are finished.
